Surprise Trip to Thailand and Laos

“My wife and I wanted to take a trip for our anniversary that would combine local culture and cuisine with luxurious adventure. I planned to surprise my wife with the trip on Christmas morning, so coordinating in secret was a unique twist! Tiffany mapped out the perfect trip to Thailand and Laos. She coordinated all of our international air, as well as the local in-country flights, and made the entire planning process stress-free and exciting.

Little did we know as we were initially planning the trip in November 2019, that a global pandemic was beginning in China. We were scheduled to depart the USA in March 2020, and as we neared our departure date, Tiffany was in constant communication with the managers of each property, our ground handlers and the US embassies in each country to confirm not only our ability to travel, but the potential risks we were taking. At one point we had to plan a ‘contingency itinerary’ that did not include Laos; but, after much discussion with Tiffany’s local connections, we determined that we could continue the trip as originally planned. 

Tiffany consistently checked in on us, updating us with any changes or news and calling each property prior to our arrival. We received complimentary upgrades at every property we visited and experienced the highest quality service from the staff and property managers. Each GM greeted us personally and assured us they had talked to Tiffany and that we were in good hands. As we progressed from city to city, we had to decide if we were continuing on or coming home before flights were canceled or borders were closed. Tiffany was available to discuss all potential options at any time, day or night, making us feel like our safety and travel experience was her number one priority. Her responsiveness and wealth of information at such an uncertain time gave us the confidence to continue on our trip. Ultimately, it was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure where we were able to see and do things we may never experience again, and we did it all with absolutely no complications or crowds.
